The Happiest Spring

This photo was taken in April a few years ago.

This is how it looks here today  –  that’s how long winter and snow last here.

Apart from the conifers there is nothing green here yet. Rests of the snow on the ground, no leaves on the trees, not even buds and old, yellow-brown grass.

It’s still beautiful though.

Despite of these long winters, according to the latest World Happiness Record from the United Nations, Norway is the happiest country in the world.

The Danes were leading for the last three years, but we have finally outhappied that bunch (and are celebrating by creating some new English words).  Well, the Englishmen could need some refreshment having placed only the 19th on the list…

The USA is number 14, Canada 7, Australia 9, Germany 16, France 31.

Happy spring 2017   –  from the officially happiest place on Earth (if not the warmest one).

Happy autumn for the Southern Hemisphere.

You are so right – it is truly beautiful! 🙂
The air just looks so clear, but I guess I am used to looking through a haze of dust and pollution. We don’t have rain at the moment and if the winds don’t blow, there is nothing to clear our air.
Congratulations on being the happiest country! 🙂 I don’t know where SA is, but I for one am pretty happy. 🙂

  2. Beautiful and i love the blue!
