Zen Landscape

“The Tao is called the Great Mother:
empty yet inexhaustible,
it gives birth to infinite worlds.

It is always present within you.
You can use it any way you want.”

Lao Tse, Tao Te Ching

There is a lake and a beautiful little wooded island in the background but they have disappeared in the autumn fog.

But the fog, together with the autumn colors make this wonderful place even more beautiful.

I like the fog. Nice trees too.

Beautiful shot! I like the strong foreground (sturdy buildings and trees together), and this subtle hint of something ahead in the distance, in the fog – a lovely metaphor for many things in this life we do not (yet) fully comprehend. πŸ™‚ Just as there may be different ways to comprehend Tao. That’s what I like about fog – it makes every place look mysterious. As for the different ways to comprehend the Tao, I think many taoists would argue that one cannot comprehend it at all… πŸ™‚
