Winter Island 2

Today two more pictures of this little island, which is one of those places that make this world beautiful  –  a place for all seasons.

Here, it was photographed on a very cold winter day, when everything was frozen solid and the river vapors made the landscape look wonderful.

It looks just as beautiful in autumn and in spring.

In summer it attracts unheard of numbers of birds. Sometimes it looks like every square inch of the little island is covered with birds and their eggs. But that`s another story and another post…  🙂

    What a beautiful scene…

  2. That is simply stunning! My husband happened to walk by right at this moment and even he stopped and said magnificent, where is this! I’m sitting here with a winter hat because I was out for a walk with a friend and I’m still thawing since coming inside! Keep warm – it’s snowing buckets here and this morning was -11. Happy Spring! 😀 Sharon

Thank you Sharon. Spring will not be coming here anytime soon either, no matter what the calendar says. It usually starts in the end of April sometime. And it`s just fine with me, fortunately.
Happy weekend and keep warm 🙂

      • It’s funny isn’t it – that after all these long months of winter, it feels almost bitter sweet to bid farewell to winter 😀 It is exceptionally gorgeous now – pristine white snow shining under a glorious white sun! Yes, keep warm too!
