Heat Saving Technique

It`s  -25 C ( -13 F) outside.

Local cats use a special heat saving technique to cope with the cold.

They never keep both front paws on the frozen ground at the same time but keep one of them up in the air.

When the one on the ground gets too cold, they change the paw.

This is a great way to warm up cold paws (or any other part of the cold cat).

This entrance area is clear of snow and ice because of the underground heating there.

It feels good to seat or lie there and get some warmth again.

Noses, ears and paw pads have the intense rose colour because of the cold.

But before you feel sorry for these cold kitties  –  I happen to know that they live in a home with a cat door and can come and go as they please…

They are outside because they choose to be, despite the cold weather.

Have a great week and if you are cold  –  try standing on one leg…  😉
