Snowy Branches On A Grey Day

I like these two pictures because they show that it`s possible to take photos, which reflect some of the beauty of this world, even under very poor photographic conditions and with a digital camera too.

Even though it`s not visible here, both were taken during heavy snowfall and in very poor light.

This photo was taken in twilight and the light illuminating the snowy tree is that of a nearby street lamp. It made the dark grey sky look blue.

Some people say that light is everything in photography, others believe that it depends on how expensive equipment you have.

It has been my observation that it`s the eyes of the photographer, that is the most important thing.

What makes some pictures good is not the camera  –  but the consciousness behind it.

We haven’t gotten any snow this year so this makes me really happy. Plus, it’s beautiful.
